This design's palm fibers are mostly sourced from Western Vietnam, where the locals commonly refer to dads by the moniker Tia. This particular piece was named Tia by the artisans because of its solid metal form, which resembles a family breadwinner who is both compassionate and soft on the inside, just like palm fibers.
